Principal Staff Scientist – Micromirror
We are seeking a Principal Staff Scientist specializing in micromirror and optical MEMS technologies to join our advanced research team. This senior role will drive innovation in micromirror systems for applications in biomedical imaging, LiDAR, and projection technologies. You will lead cross-disciplinary projects, mentor scientists, and shape the strategic direction of our optics research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead R&D efforts in micromirror design, fabrication, and integration.
- Develop and optimize optical MEMS architectures for imaging, LiDAR, and display systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists across optics, electronics, and materials science.
- Translate research breakthroughs into prototypes and product-ready solutions.
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
- Mentor junior scientists and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in MEMS, optics, or micromirror technology.
- Strong track record of publications and patents in optical MEMS or micromirror systems.
- Hands-on expertise with micromirror fabrication, characterization, and system integration.
- Experience in LiDAR, biomedical imaging, or projection systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
